A vibrant first step has begun at MA Pesantren Al-Hamidiyah! From September 22–24, 2025, students from grades X to XII took part in the inaugural 1st Week of STEAMMI. With the grand theme Smart Sensor Discovery, Build and Move, Connected Living, this program offered an exciting and innovative learning experience that blended technology with the values of pesantren life. The atmosphere was electrifying, as if every classroom had turned into a creative laboratory full of fresh ideas.

From day one, the enthusiasm was undeniable. Grade X students focused on installing basic sensors, Grade XI worked on preparing robot chassis and motor drivers, while Grade XII explored configuring the ESP32 board with WiFi and network connections. Beyond assembling devices, they also learned how to draft proposals, design posters, and document every step of the process. Collaboration flowed naturally—like a newly charged engine, everyone moved in sync!

The second day brought even greater challenges. Students debugged programs, perfected automation systems, and built prototypes such as mobile robots and IoT-based smart lamps. It wasn’t just about technical skills; the activities trained them in precision, creativity, and problem solving. Mini internal presentations became a stage to showcase their progress while preparing for the big day.

The climax came on the third day. Each grade proudly presented their final projects: Grade X with Smart Sensor Discovery, Grade XI with Build and Move, and Grade XII with Connected Living. The room buzzed with energy as every team explained their hard work. These moments were more than just about technology—they were about courage, effective communication, and collective pride.

The STEAMMI Coordinator at MA Pesantren Al-Hamidiyah, Mrs. Rina Sudaryanti, S.Pd., expressed her hopes that this program would become a milestone in shaping creative, innovative, and visionary students. “I hope STEAMMI nurtures a generation that is not only technologically literate, but also strong in character, ready to bring positive change to society. Santri (students) must be prepared to lead in the digital era, without ever leaving behind noble values and integrity,” she emphasized with optimism.

Inspiring words also came from Leone Bensjamin of Grade XI-F2, whose team successfully created a prototype that was both visually representative and functional. “The success of our project came from teamwork. We divided the tasks clearly—some focused on wiring, others on designing the prototype, while another made sure the coding ran smoothly. Everyone had to be precise, because even the smallest mistake could affect the final result. Through this process, we truly learned the meaning of collaboration and responsibility. It felt amazing to see our prototype work just as we had planned,” Leone shared proudly.

STEAMMI is more than just an academic program—it is a platform to prepare students for a connected future. The values of being innovative, communicative, open-minded, argumentative, and full of integrity are deeply embedded in every activity. With the spirit of teamwork and a forward-looking vision, STEAMMI 2025 proves that Santri are ready to be adaptive, creative, and future leaders of change.
