Second Steammi Week PG-KG Al-Hamidiyah

Al-Hamidiyah Playgroup–Kindergarten held 2nd STEAMMI Week on November 17–21, 2025.
Kindergarten A carried out a Community Helpers Project consisting of four categories: Hospital, Train Station, Airport, and Fire Station. All projects were created using eco-friendly materials, allowing the children not only to learn concepts of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, but also to understand the importance of caring for the environment. The activities were further strengthened with Islamic values through the recitation of Qur’anic verses and hadith as motivation and a form of positive spiritual habituation. The children went through a series of stages—from observing, designing, to presenting their work—as practice in critical thinking, creativity, and self-confidence.
At the same time, Kindergarten B carried out a carousel toy–making project using recycled bottles as an alternative learning activity aimed at reducing reliance on gadgets. The children were encouraged to use recyclable items to create toys they could touch, assemble, and explore. Through the process of designing and constructing a functioning carousel, they gained hands-on learning experience in STEAM concepts, fine motor skills, collaboration, and environmental awareness.
Through these parallel STEAMMI activities, Al-Hamidiyah Playgroup–Kindergarten hopes to instill a love of learning, boundless creativity, and positive character in every child.
